Aperatonic Trio emerged from a shared curiosity and enthusiasm for free improvisation, collective composition, and the desire to explore the vast and diverse world of works by women and nonbinary jazz composers. Their music flows organically through textures and intensities, at times delicate, convivial, groovy, boisterous. They have performed in various combinations together with local groups including The Unknowns, MANtrio, Nuages and Lulu Swing (SEA). They find joy and musical inspiration in cookbooks, each other and sharing a laugh after a good improvisation.
